The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is a limited production GT car, developed by the Mercedes-AMG division of German car manufactured Mercedes-Benz. The SLS succeeded the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren and was also described as the spiritual successor to the Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing.

SLS stands for “Super Leicht Sport”. The car was introduced at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. According to AMG, upon introduction, the 420 kW M159 engine used in the SLS was the most powerful naturally aspirated production series engine ever produced. Top speed was 315 km/h and zero to 100km/h was achieved in 3,8 seconds. The SLS won several design awards, including the 2010 red dot “best of the best “award and the Auto Bild Design Award 2010 as “Europe’s most attractive car”.
