The Porsche 991 Speedster was unveiled at the New York Auto Show in April 2019 and went on the sale the following month. The Carrera 4 body was fitted with a chassis from a GT3 as well as its 4.0 naturally aspirated engine. The engine was equipped with individual throttle bodies and a new fuel injection system. The maximum power of 375kW was delivered to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Typical design cues of the original Speedster are featured including the double bubble rear deck lid, a manual roof as well as a shorter windshield frame. Carbon ceramic brakes were standard on the Speedster and a Heritage Design Package was available as an option. Only 1948 examples were built to commemorate 1948, the year Roadster No1, the first ever Porsche was produced.
