2017 BMW M4 Pure Edition (FOR SALE)
The BMW 4 Series resulted from a model line restructure. BMW decided to introduce the coupe and convertible body style of the 3 Series as a separate model line-up. In September 2013, BMW announced the BMW M4 set to replace the E92 M3. For the new car, BMW did away with the naturally aspirated V8 found in the E92 and replaced it with a 3.0L turbo charged I6 unit. This new engine was purposed built for the new M4.
In 2016 BMW announced a Competition Package for the M3 and M4. Power was increased by 14 kw to 331 kw with torque figures remaining the same at 550 nm which is transferred to the road via the standard M-DCT gearbox. This meant a 0-100 km/h time of 4 seconds.
Due to limited production numbers of the BMW M2, BMW responded with a “entry level” M4 to bridge the availability gap and so the BMW M4 Pure edition was born. It was only available in three colours and featured a back-to-basics interior with cloth centres on the seats. It was marketed as a performance focused variant of the M4 – less weight and more power thanks to the M4 Competition drivetrain. 500 units were built with only 40 being allocated to South Africa.
This specific car is a 2017 BMW M4 Pure edition. Finished in Alpine White with black leather/grey cloth interior. It has a full-service history with BMW and has covered only 70 545 km from new. Factory fitted extras are few due to the car having less features to save weight, but the shadow line body trim came standard on all Pure Editions. 19-inch double spoke wheels were optional and factory fitted on this particular car. A carbon fibre boot spoiler, front lip and side skirts were fitted after the car was delivered.
An exciting opportunity to own a very tidy example of a driver focused M4.
