2015 Audi R8 V10 Coupe
The Audi R8 is a mid-engine, 2-seater sports car, manufactured by Audi from 2006 until the first quarter of 2024. The car was officially launched at the Paris Auto Show in September 2006. The R8 shares its name with the Le Mans winning R8 Le Mans Prototype car. Initial models included the 4.2L V8 Coupe and later the 5.2L V10 Coupe. The convertible models, called the Spyder was first introduced in 2008, followed by the high-performance GT model, introduced in 2011.
This specific car is a 2015 R8 V-10 Coupe. Audi unveiled the Audi R8 V-10 in December 2008. The V10 engine was based on the engine used in the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560. It was re tuned to develop 386kW with 530Nm of torque. Performance figures were up from the V-8 models: top speed was up to 316km/h and zero to 100 km/h now took only 3,9 seconds. Other enhancements included LED Headlights, “V10” badging on the front fenders, a Bang&Olufsen sound system, larger rear brakes, a dual exhaust outlet system and different styling for the wheels. Finished in Ibis white with black interior the car has done only 25172km and is in “like new” condition.
Legendary race driver Jacky Ickx described the R8 as the best handling sports car on the road. With production of the R8 discontinued earlier this year, the values of good example cars are bound to rise. A great opportunity to own one of these very special cars!
