The Maserati Quattroporte is four-door luxury sedan, manufactured by Maserati. Quattroporte is Italian for four doors. The first Quattroporte was introduced as far back as 1963; the car is currently in its sixth generation.
The fifth generation of the Quattroporte was launched in September 2003 at the Frankfurt motor Show. It was built on an all-new platform called the M139 and had a 40 cm longer wheelbase than its predecessor. Interior and exterior design was by Pininfarina’s chief designer at the time, Ken Okuyama. It was powered by a Ferrari-derived 4.2L V-8 engine, producing 294 kW and propelling the luxury saloon to a 275 km/h top speed! The last M139 was produced in 2012.
