The Porsche Cayman is a three-door fastback coupe. It is a two-seater, mid-engine sports car and shares a platform with the Porsche Boxster.

The first Cayman S was introduced in late 2005 with the normal Cayman following in 2006. They were known as the 987 Caymans.

It was based on the Boxster with the same floor plan and sharing the front boot lid and fenders. The Cayman S was powered by a six-cylinder 3.4 Liter with 217 kW, or 291 hp. Engine is rear, mid mounted which gives the car a near perfect weight distribution and attributes to the impeccable handling characteristics of the Cayman and Cayman S.

The Cayman S is a very practical two-seater sports car with a boot in the front and at the rear of the car. Performance was also good with zero to hundred coming up in 5.1 seconds and a top speed of 275 km/h.
