The second generation 996 car was introduced in 2002 and besides some very nice cosmetic enhancements from the first model, the engine capacity and power were increased to a 3,6L with 235kW on offer.

This specific car is a good example of the beautiful Porsche 996 4S Cabriolet. The 996 4S Cabriolet was only brought into South Africa in 2004. The car had the wider body, similar to the 996 Turbo with 18 inch Turbo wheels and brakes, including red calipers. The front lip spoiler on the car was slightly different and more elegant than that on the Turbo and the rear of the car did not have the fixed wing. The very distinctive light panel between the tail lights featured only on the 996 4S Coupe and Cabriolet models.

On the interior the car had all leather, navigation, cruise control, electric memory seats and phone, all as standard. The car also came standard with a removable hard top.

This car has had three owners from new.  It has done only 83 000kms and has a full-service history from Porsche SA and Porsche Specialists. All books, spare keys, spare wheel and tools complete. The Tiptronic gearbox, together with the long list of standard and optional extras on the car makes for very enjoyable and relaxed open top driving!
