The BMW E36 is the third generation of the 3 Series produced between 1990 and 2000. It was initially introduced as a sedan, but coupe, cabriolet, touring and hatchback versions were later added to the line up.

The E36 M3 was introduced in 1992. This car was more refined than its predecessor, the E30 M3. It was derived from the E36 325iS and critics claimed it was too soft. BMW never argued otherwise. They said it was a quick car that would appeal to everyone from the boy racer to the family man.

In 1994, BMW introduced the limited edition M3 GT as a acing homologation special, in order to compete in the FIA-GT class II, IMSA GT and the international long-distance events. 356 cars were produced, all in left-hand drive, all in British Racing Green and all for Europe only. The UK received a special GT trim, limited to 50 cars with only the cosmetic upgrades of the homologation special. They were called the M3 GT Evolution Imola Individual. The cars were right-hand drive, and all finished in Imola Red.

This specific car is a 1999 model, nr,48/50 and has done 104 000 miles from new. The car was recently restored to a very high standard and is absolutely beautiful!
