The R107 Mercedes cars were replaced by the R129 SL, a Roadster produced between 1989 and 2001. It was a two-door, two-seater car with an electric textile roof. All R129cars also came with an aluminum removable hardtop.

The car was based on the floor plan of the W124 sedan and featured some innovative details like electronically controlled dampening as well as an automatically extending roll-over bar. The windows, mirrors and seats were all electric, not very common in a 1989 car!  It was also the first car where the seatbelts were attached to the seat instead of the floorboard or B-pillar.

This specific car is a 1998 SL320 with the M104 3.2L 24-valve DOHC engine, producing 170kW at 5 500 rpm. It has been very well maintained by the Agents and Mercedes Benz Specialists. The car is completely original and in an exceptional condition.  Finished in white with a grey interior, this must be one of the best examples of a Mercedes R129 Roadster!
