The Porsche 968 was manufactured between 1992 to 1995. Only 32 cars were imported by the Official Agents to South Africa, and they all arrived here in 1992. It was the last front engine car Porsche produced until they launched the Cayenne in 2003. Only 4389 Cabriolet versions were produced with less than 500 of them right hand drive cars!

The 968 was the final evolution of the front engine water cooled cars that started with the 924 in the early seventies. It was an entry level Porsche and replaced the 944, of which it shared 20% of its parts. The engine was a 3.0L, inline 4-cylinder producing 177kW with 305Nm of torque available. Zero to 100 took 6,6 seconds and top speed was 247 km/h.

This specific car is a 1992 Cabriolet with 176 000kms on from new and a good service history. It is finished in Guards red with a black leather interior. It has been well maintained and is a great example of this front engine Porsche.
