Comprehensive history

The second generation of the BMW 3 Series was called the E30 and was produced from 1982 to 1994. The model range included a two-door Coupe, a Cabriolet, a 4-door Sedan as well as a Station wagon. There were various 4 and 6-cylinder engines available with manual or automatic transmissions.

The E30 gained cult status in South-Africa and a few “SA only” models were produced at the Rosslyn Factory near Pretoria, like the legendary 325iS and 333i! The E30 is affectionately known as the “Gusheshe” amongst BMW fanatics.
