The Porsche 924 was introduced in November 1975. Just over 150000 cars were built between 1976 and 1988. The 944, introduced in 1983 was supposed to replace the 924 but 924 production continued up to 1988. The last 924 S models had the same engine as the 944.
This specific car is a 1986 Porsche 924S. Porsche decided to fit the narrow body 924 with the same engine they used in the 944 and in 1986 the first Porsche 924S rolled off the production floor. The engine in the first cars was slightly detuned but in the 1988 car, power was increased to 116kW, matching that of the previous year’s Le Mans spec cars and the base spec 944. 1988 was also the last year of production for the 924.
This car has done 88000 miles from new and has a substantial service and repair history with the official Agents as well as with Porsche Specialists.
