The Ferrari 308 GTB was first seen at the Paris Motor Show in 1975. It was designed by Pininfarina and supplemented the Dino 308 GT4. The Ferrari 308 was made famous by the television series Magnum, P.I, in which Tom Selleck drove the car all over Hawaii while on his investigations, from 1980 to 1988. In 2004, Sports Car International magazine named the 308 number 5 on the list of Top Sports Cars of the 1970’s, not bad considering the very distinguished list of sportscars from the 1970’s!

The 308 was powered by the F106 AB V8 engine, equipped with four Weber 40DCNF carburettors, producing 188kW for the European cars and slightly less on American cars, due to emission control devises. European specification cars used dry sump lubrication while cars destined to America, Australia and Japan used conventional wet sump lubrication. Notably, the early 308 GTB had a glass-reinforced plastic body, allowing a very light weight of 1050kgs. The steel bodies started in June 1977, and overall weight increased by 150kgs!

This specific car is a 1981 308 GTS. The targa-topped 308 GTS was introduced at the 1977 Frankfurt Motor Show. They were all steel bodied and received the wet-sump engines. The car has done only 51500kms and has a comprehensive service history from the official Ferrari Agents and Ferrari Specialists. It has been very well maintained and is in impeccable condition!

Please take note that all cars can be viewed at showroom by appointment only.
