1980 BMW 728 (FOR SALE)
The BMW E23 was the first generation of BMW’s luxurious 7-series. They were produced from 1977 to 1986 and they replaced the BMW E3 sedans.
All the cars were powered by a straight-six petrol engine, with the majority of the cars using the M30 engine. Early 728 and 730 models used a 4-barrel Solex carburettor, but most engines were fuel-injected. The cars were available with 4-and 5-speed manual gearboxes or 3-and 4-speed automatic gearboxes.
Many electronic features were introduced in a BMW for the first time on this car, including an on-board computer, service interval indicator, a check control panel and a complex climate control system. It was also the fist BMW with an anti-lock braking system (ABS) and an optional drivers airbag. Options included leather, wood trim, power seats, seat heaters, power windows, power mirrors and reclining rear seats.
This specific car is a 1980 728 carburettor model with only 35490kms on the clock. The car has had two owners from new and is in a near perfect condition. Finished in polaris silver with blue leather interior this car has been meticulously maintained and needs to be seen to be appreciated!
