The Porsche 911 Turbo was introduced at the Paris Motor Show in October 1974 and first deliveries were done in early 1975. It was produced between 1974 and 1989 and was the flagship 911 for 15 years.

The turbo-technology for the 917/30 Can-Am race car was adapted and applied to the 3.0-liter engine used in the Carrera RS 3.0. Internally, Porsche dubbed it as the 930 and the car is also commonly known as the Porsche 930 Turbo.

The car utilizes a single KKK turbo charger. The first engine used was the 3.0L flat six producing 256Hp but in 1978 Porsche upgraded the engine to a 3.3L producing 221kW or 296Hp with 412Nm available at 4000rpm.

This specific car is a 1977 Porsche 930 Turbo in left hand drive with only 78000kms on from new. The car is mostly original with minor cosmetic work done over the years. It was imported to SA in 1984 and has had only two owners since. Although the car only has a partial service history available it has been very well maintained and has a full technical report from Porsche SA.
