1972 Fiat 500L
This car was available from 1957 to 1975 and was available as a 2-door Coupe or a 2-door Station Wagon.
It was launched in July 1957 and was considered one of the first purpose designed city cars. It was inexpensive and small, powered by a 497 cc two-cylinder, air cooled engine producing about 15 kW!
Zero to 100km/h took, well, a long time and top speed was around 100km/h. The car had a kerb mass of 499kg, without Luigi in the driver’s seat!
The 500L or the “Lusso” was introduced in 1968 as a more richly trimmed and a better appointed car as the standard car. It remained on sale until 1972.
This specific car is a 1972 model that has done only 35,696 kms from new. It is a numbers match car that has undergone a full nuts and bolts restoration at the Fiat factory in Italy. The car is finished in stunning original colour called Dawn White with contrasting original tan interior.
A great opportunity to own one of these magnificent Italian stallions, or should we say, cute pony?
Please take note that all cars can be viewed by appointment only.
