The Citroen DS is a front-engine, front-wheel drive car that was manufactured from 1955 to 1975. There were three body configurations namely a fastback sedan, a station wagon and a cabriolet. 

The DS was known for its aerodynamic and futuristic body design. The car featured innovative technology that was quirky and unorthodox. It set new standards in ride quality, handling and braking.  It was the first mass produced car with disc brakes and hydropneumatic suspension.  This suspension, designed by Paul Mages and invented by Citroen was later used by other manufacturers like BMW, Rolls Royce, Maserati and Peugeot. From 1967 the car had directional front head lamps!

The DS competed in rally racing during almost its entire 20-year production run and achieved multiple victories. It placed third in the 1999 “Car of The Century” poll and was also named the most beautiful car of all time by Classic&Sports Car magazine. 

This specific car is a very original 1970 DS20. It is finished in Vert Pacifque but I think it will be best described as avocado green with a brown interior. It is powered by a 2,0L, inline 4-cylinder engine producing 73kW. The speedo indicates 27193 miles, but it has surely clocked over at least once.
