1969 MG MGB GT (SOLD)
The MGB is a two-door British sports car, manufactured from 1962 until 1980. The car was first announced in September 1962, as a replacement for the MGA. Variants included the Roadster, a 2+2 three-door coupe, the six-cylinder MGC as well as the eight-cylinder 2+2 Coupe, the MGB GT V8.
The fixed-roof MGB GT was introduced in 1965. Designed by Pininfarina, the MGB GT launched the sporty “hatchback” style. The car offered the utility of a station wagon while retaining the style and shape of a coupe. In 2019, Road and Track Magazine name the GT one of Pinifarina’s most beautiful designs…that weren’t Ferraris.
This specific car is a 1969 MGB GT. It is in a very nice condition and is finished in red with black interior. Mileage indicated is 23000 miles, but we are certain that the odometer has turned over at least once. The car has been well maintained and drives like a dream. The interior has been beautifully redone. The chrome bumpers have been removed and, to complete the sportier look, a brand-new set of rims from a later model MG was fitted.
This is a nice example of the famous British sport car and a very affordable way to enter the classic car market!
