1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 (FOR SALE)
The Ford Mustang Mach 1 was first offered as an option in the Mustang range in August 1968 for the 1969 model year. It was a combination of a performance and an appearance package. Outright performance of American pony cars became very competitive in the late sixties, both for sale and for manufacturers prestige. The Ford Mustang platform and engine bays were redesigned to accommodate much larger engine blocks.
The Mach 1 was introduced in 1969. It was labelled as an overall performance package. The cars came with the 351 cu in, 5,8L Windsor V8 engine, additional handling upgrades and extensive appearance enhancements. The car was only available in the Sports roof fastback body, previously known as the Fastback. Other engine options were available from 1970 to 1973.
This specific car is a high-quality older restoration. It is a 1969 model car with the original 351 Winsor V-8 engine with some very nice engine enhancements, such as Edelbrock cylinder heads and camshafts, Edelbrock intake manifold and a custom performance exhaust, with lots of beautiful chrome work! The original 2-barrel carburettor was replaced with a 4-barrel Holley. It is finished in dramatic black with a black interior and complimented by a set of Custom 18-inch American Racing wheels. A great opportunity to get behind the wheel of one of these iconic American muscle cars!
