1968 Porsche 912
The Porsche 912 was built from 1965 to 1969 and was an entry level variant of the 911. It was powered by a 1600 4-cylinder flat-four engine from the last 356 models, although power was slightly down to 102 horsepower. The cars were available in a Coupe or Targa, just like the 911. The car was very economical, made possible by the very efficient Boxer engine, the low drag and the very low kerb weight (only 965kgs)! The 912 is a nimble handling and compact sports car. When it was first introduced into the market it initially outsold the 911. Around 32000 units were sold worldwide between 1965 and 1969.
This specific car is a 1968 model that was subject to a nut and bolt restoration to a very high standard. The car is finished in original Irish green with a tan leather interior. The leather interior was not standard but it was a factory option at the time. It is an engine-and chassis numbers match car, restored to a like new condition. All invoices and documentation available for this “no expense spared” restoration.
This is a rare opportunity to own an iconic sport car from the Porsche stable, professionally restored to an unbelievable standard!
