Are you looking for a classic Triumph TR4 for sale?

The Triumph TR4 is a traditional roadster that was produced as a successor to the TR3A between 1961 and 1965. The TR4 and TR3A were produced together in 1961 and 1962 but completely replaced the TR3A in 1963. It is the rarest Triumph TR model except for the TR2. Around 40 000 TR4s were built.

The TR4 underwent major styling updates from the TR3A. The cutaway doors were done away with so that traditional role up windows could be integrated instead of the less convenient door curtains. Some TR4s came with a hardtop with a big rear window called a backlight. The centre was detachable and the hardtop had a rigid roll over bar making the TR4 the first production car to feature a “Targa” top which is the generic name given to this particular roof style when Porsche started using it 5 years later. Other improvements included a wider track, slightly bigger engine, rack and pinion steering and full synchromesh on all forward gears.

This specific car is a 1961 TR4 in beautiful Valesquez cream with tan interior. The car has been lovingly restored to a very good standard. A magnificent example of this thrilling British roadster!
