2020 Ford Mustang “Bullitt”
The outgoing version of the Ford Mustang was introduced to be a 2015 model. Its release marked the fiftieth anniversary of the Ford Mustang, which was released in 1965. The sixth generation is also the first Ford Mustang to be sold globally with Ford producing right hand drive versions for the first time.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the film Bullitt, Ford designed and built a special edition Mustang that pays homage to the original 68 Mustang Fastback. Bullitt is a 1968 American action thriller film. The picture stars Steve McQueen, Robert Vaughn, and Jacqueline Bisset as well as the famous 1968 Mustang Fastback. The movie was famous for its car chase scene through the streets of San Francisco. It is regarded as one of the most influential in movie history.
Like the original 1968 car, this Mustang is offered in two colours: Dark Highland Green, but also in Black. In addition to this, custom instrument panel graphics, dashboard stitching, seat patterns come as standard as well as an option to fit Recaro seats. The 5.0 L V8 features a larger 87mm throttle body, a modified Shelby GT350 manifold and cold air intake with re calibration. This results in a bump in power to 480 hp (358 kW). The brakes were also taken from the GT350 to help stop the 20 hp bump in power over the standard car. A six-speed manual with rev matching is the only transmission available on this model.
This specific car is finished in the original green and features the optional Recaro seats with green stitching and embroidery. The car is brand new having done only 40 km since delivery. A truly magnificent car that brings up a true sense of nostalgia.
