2004 Opel Astra “G” OPC
The Opel Astra “G” OPC was released in 2000. It was a fun, agile and good looking according to numerous reviews done by various motoring journalists. It was originally released with turbo charged 2.0 4-cylinder engine that produced 160 HP. In 2002 the engine was revised to produced 200 HP (147 kw).
The low suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels and rear spoiler all screamed sports car. Top speed was 220 km/h in 2002! This was very quick for its class 18 years ago. It was the start of a long line of Opel performance cars which capture the hearts of hot hatch enthusiasts to this day.
This specific car is one of the last to be produced being a 2004. It has covered just over 99 000 km from new and has a full-service history. The car has had 4 owners and the service books and spare keys are available. This has to be one of the cleanest examples in South Africa being bone stock other than the stainless-steel exhaust and aftermarket Bluetooth radio that is fitted. The original exhaust and radio are also available.
Traditional metallic blue paint, a turbo charged 2.0 engine, a 6-speed manual gearbox and a driver with a huge smile on their face. That is what an OPC is all about.
