1999 Range Rover 4.6 HSE
We are pleased to present a very neat example of a Range Rover 4.6 HSE. This car has done 191 000 km from new and has a well-documented service history both with the agents and a specialist. The metallic green paintwork is good and the beige interior is clean and tidy. The second generation (P38A) Range Rover was introduced in 1995, 25 years after the introduction of the first generation. It was based on the LWB chassis of the first generation which was 20 cm longer and featured an updated version of the V8 Rover engine.
Luxury was in the mind of the designers with all the premium equipment from the Land Rover Discovery and more being fitted as standard. The car was positioned above the Discovery in order to compete in the fast-evolving SUV market at the time. Luxury items such as air suspension as standard and navigation as an option were some of the comforts that the Range Rover had to offer.
This model was he last to feature the Rover V8. It produced 160 kw with 400 nm of torque. Power was delivered through an automatic gearbox and a 4-wheel drive system. The 2-ton SUV does 0 -100 in only 10.3 seconds and can do a top speed of around 200 kph which was quick for an SUV in 1995!
A lot of car even by today’s standards and a small price to pay to enter into a world of classic luxury.
