1998 Porsche Carrera 4S 3.8 (993)
The 993 represented the last of the air cooled 911.
The 993 was much improved over, and quite different from its predecessor the 964. According to Porsche, every part of the car was taken back to the drawing board and redesigned. This included the engine and only 20% of its parts were carried over from the 964. Porsche said that the 993 was “a significant advance” over the previous 964 both technically and visually.
The Carrera 4S was built from 1996 and shared the same body as the Turbo model, but it had an uprated naturally aspirated Carrera engine in the rear. The 4S had slightly lowered suspension as compared to standard Carrera models. This specific car has done only 63 477 km from new and has a full service history from Porsche. This car is extra special ,believed to be 1 of 2 examples in this colour in the world; the other being a left hand drive. This car features a factory fitted 3.8L engine that produces 221 kW .This upgrade was known as the X51 and uses the 993 RS block, 993 RS pistons and different cams. It differs from the RS engine in that it was not race tuned, which is understandable considering its application in this car. The car features a Turbo S body kit and is finished in Ocean Jade metallic. The wheels are also borrowed from the Turbo S being hollow spoke light weight wheels. The car has a full leather interior as well as extras such as a sunroof and keyless entry.
This a truly special and ultra-rare example of a 993 Carrera 4S. The car is in immaculate condition and a chance to own this car should not be passed up!
