1976 Porsche 911 Targa
The very first Porsche 911 was marketed as a luxury sports car and this very famous and distinctive design was introduced in autumn 1963. The shape basically stayed the same until 1989 when it was succeeded by the 964. The 964 was still sold as a 911, as are all current models.
The 911 was a rear engined and air-cooled car. The 911 was modified both by private teams and the factory itself for racing, rallying and other types of automotive competition. The 911 is being hailed as the most successful competition car ever, especially when its variations are included, like the very powerful 911-derived 935. This car won the 24 Hours of Le Mans and other major sports car races outright against its prototypes.
This specific car is a 1976 2.7L Targa. The car is mechanically very sound and has extensive service and maintenance records. It is finished in Guards Red with black interior and it is fitted with 15 inch “Cookie Cutter” rims. All the books, spare keys and tools are complete. The original radio is also available.
This car is perfect for restoration or can be enjoyed as is for many years to come. A great 911 at a very good asking price.
