1970 Jaguar E Type Series II
The Jaguar E-Type is a British sports car that replaced the Jaguar XK series and was built from 1961 to 1975. There was a series I, II and III. The car is breathtakingly beautiful and the combination with high performance and competitive pricing made the car an icon of the motoring world.
Top speed was 150 mph(241km/h) and zero to 100km/h took less than 7 seconds. It featured a monocoque construction, disc brakes, rack-and-pinion steering and independent front and rear suspension.
The Series 2 cars were built from 1968 to 1971. The straight six-cylinder engine produced 183kW or 245 hp.
This specific car is a 1970 Series II Coupe, finished in Opalescent Silver Blue with Beige interior. The car has undergone a full nut and bolt restoration and has done very little mileage since. It is absolutely pristine and at this year’s South African National Concourse achieved a third place in its class.
A rare opportunity to own this truly iconic British sports car, surely one of the most beautiful cars ever made!
