1964 Jaguar MK II
The Jaguar MKII is classified as a mid-sized sports saloon. It was built from 1959 to 1967 and was succeeded by the Jaguar XJ6.
The advertising slogan for Jaguar in the 50’s and 60’s was “Grace…Space…Pace”. The MKII was very much in line with this slogan and was available with the Jaguar XK6 16 engine in 2.4L, 3.4L and 3.8L displacement.
Although production of the 3.8L was stopped in 1967, the 3.4L cars were still sold until late 1968 while the 2.4L was on sale until early 1969.
This specific car is a 1964 model with the 2.4L engine and has been owned by the same owner for around 20 years. The 2.4L engine produced 89kW or 120hp. It has a partial service history. The car is in perfect running order and gets driven regularly, mostly to the car wash and back! The car is in a fair condition and could be used as is, but for a collector this car needs a total restoration. A classic British sports saloon!
