1960 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia
The Volkswagen Karmann Ghia was introduced in 1955 as a 2+2 Coupe. A 2+2 Cabriolet followed in 1957. Internally known as the Type 14, both the Coupe and the Cabriolet was produced until 1974, the year that the model was discontinued. The car combined the chassis and mechanicals of the VW Beetle with the styling by Carrozzeria Ghia. The bodies were hand built by German coachbuilders, Karmann, hence the name Karmann Ghia.
